We’re very excited to tell you about a current investment project that we are working on. We’re in the embryonic stages but we’re so excited that we’d like you to know about it first!
We saw companies like ‘Who Gives A Crap‘ and ‘Thank You‘ doing such great things for every day necessities. The best thing about these companies is that they make the everyday ordinary products extraordinary. Let me explain, we’ve used these products day in, day out without much thought of the supply chain. Perhaps those that are a little more environmentally conscious may have given some deeper consideration towards how these everyday commodities impact the greater ecosystem. But most of us take them for granted (I know I did) and would rather not think about the equipment we use to wipe our butts. Who Gives A Crap did, they turned a pretty regular household item into a product that is not only environmentally conscious by being 100% forest friendly, they’re socially conscious, donating 50% of profits to help build toilets for those in need.
‘Thank You’ contribute to the environment and the global community through a similar vein. Their product range began with humble bottles of water, now they supply products from hand wash to baby diapers.
These companies have started a social enterprise movement, inspiring my business partner and I to follow in their brave footsteps. We thought, if we are able to make a change with everyday essentials, how do we get to merge that concept with what we are passionate about? So we did. We’re venturing into feminine hygiene products. We see the products as symbolic; if anything represents the female, I would say it’s the menstrual cycle.
We aim to provide a product that not only eases the monthly tides but makes it a joy to surf. We aim to provide a product that you’re proud to display because the awesome packaging is unique and designed well. Our brand and vision represents how women are empowering each other and that’s definitely something to be proud of.
We embrace the style, grace and charisma of the modern woman. Not only is she strong minded and strong willed she nurtures herself, her environment and those whom live within it. This is what Lotus stands for; we stand for and beside you.
I hope you’re as excited as we are for this project! We can’t wait to bring it to you!
